Some people claim that I can be stubborn and believe that I'm always right. Not true. I will usually admit when I make a mistake, and last weekend I sincerely regret not going to see LCD soundsystem at Bowery Ballroom. I still don't like that album (or, actually, the one before it all that much either) but it seems clear that this was a classic show. Not only was just about everyone I know in attendance, they all (except for one) said it was a blast. Even Brooklyn Vegan even called it "one of (his) favorite concerts ever." That sentiment was basically shared by everyone else I know who was there Friday night (except for one.) Even by people who secretly share my opinion on the new record. Then I heard Saturday night was better. So I missed out. And I'm bummed about that.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get Studio B tickets. And I expect to enjoy myself there if that all works out.

Speaking of fun bands to dance to, how hard did Lo-Fi-Fnk kill it at Studio B last Saturday night? Sorry if anyone came out Friday to Ruff Club and was let down...they apologized for how that night played out and more than made up for it. Also, can someone give the definitive answer to this whole live Soulwax deal? Which show is the one you can't miss? Studio B or Hiro? What's the difference? Is one just DJing and one a full band? I don't wanna miss out on the good one...
