After Les Savy Fav at the pool and before sneaking over to catch the end of the Cursive show at Mercury (which I'll post about in more detail tomorrow after seeing a full set tonight), I went to Bowery for Lifetime. One of my favorite shows from this year's SXSW, I was excited to see them again. It was great. Laura got a kick out of watching her mild mannered friends slam around and dive off the stage. I got a kick of watching these "kids" in their late 20s early 30s, beer in hand, huffing and puffing down on the floor. The show was 16+, but there weren't that many kids there. Ari joked he never remembered so many beers at his shows. The last time I saw them, when they 'opened' for My Chemical Romance, he commented how he didn't remember so many girls at his shows. Times have changed, buddy. A victim of circumstance, I suppose.
More pics after the jump...
Gawd, Lifetime was great! Jeff, while you went and lived out your emo fantasies catching the last few songs of Cursive, you missed Lifetime encore w/ "Star 69." Not as good as SXSW show but def alotta fun!

The show was definitely great. I hadnt seen them live since 97 and they rocked even harder this time around...Sad not to hear Isae Aldy Beausoleil though, but great show nontheless. I also went to the Les Savy Fav show and that show was bonkers!!! great stuff, did you see the sweaty ass sponge? nasty!....perfect sunday overall....nice pics too... ^_^
