Seriously. They played a three hour set last night from midnight till
after 3am and it was pretty much the best show I've ever seen. I could
barely stand, but I could not draw myself away. Simply unreal.
Everything has been perfect this weekend since we got here. A some rough
patches traveling down, but the friendly canadians in a van who picked
us up off the side of the highway to drive us in were a great help
(sorry mom!) Highlights have been mmj, Devendra, cat power, patton
oswalt, Bright eyes (with jim james on backup vocals for a song and gris
reys (sp?) from super furry animals. He also played hello sunshine solo
during the set.) Its so nice to see full (or even extended) sets at a
festival. If I left today, I'd be satisfied. Seriously. Maybe the best
day of music I've ever had. Still have beck, radiohead, lewis black,
aziz and the ucb crew, byo pet, the streets, malkmus, sonic youth,
atmosphere, and most likely a whole lot more to come over the next 2
days.
Anyway, I'm sitting in a big field next to my tent on my sidekick, so
excuse the spelling, grammer and picture. Ill have a full report next
week. --jeffdbaum
I am glad you enjoyed MMJ. They are indeed the best band out there curently.

As a fellow welshman along with the Super Furries, I feel obliged to let you know its "Gruff Rhys" who is a legend in these parts.
