I've written about this before, but a final reminder that Gothamist's Movable Hype 7.0 is tonight at the Knitting Factory. One band I didn't mention earlier was the late addition of The Slack Republic, who I've only listened to off of myspace, but sound pretty great. Worth sticking around after the Cloud Cult set. They're fun and upbeat.
For the record:
Stars of Track and Field (8ish)
Land of Talk (9ish)
Cloud Cult (10ish)
The Slack Republic (11:30ish)
This is, as I suspected and was confirmed in their interview today, Stars of Track and Field's first NY show ever. They hail from Portland and are really really really good. Wouldn't hurt to get there early for them anyway, since while the show hasn't sold out, they have sold more than 10 times the amount of presale tickets they normally do. If half the amount the regular walk-ins for these parties show up, it should be a full house. If you wanna play it super-safe, you can still get tickets here for a few more hours. See you tonight.
