Because of this *^%&$^* post, I've had "Your Kiss is on My List" going through my head all #%^^@%# day long. I'm going to have to go murder someone (preferably Hall, or Oates) in an attempt to replace "Kiss" with something better. Like the bloodcurdling wail of a homicide victim.

Because your kiss (your kiss)
Is on my list
Because your kiss (your kiss)
I can't resist
Because your kiss, it's what I miss
When I turn off the liiiiiights...

80's Kate, so much more so part of the 80's...

Ciaran, I can't believe they didn't play "Private Eyes". Oates' Live Aid shirt was sizzlin' though.

I am going to their Mohegan Sun show on Saturday to celebrate my 25th birthday. Thanks for the preview. I couldn't be more excited.

karen

hmm, I wonder what you decade you associate with the Rolling Stones, ciaran rogers.

output does not equal relevance.

Ciaran Rogers

That's an amazing point!

If this is an excersize in categorizing, I wouldn't know how Hall and Oates would fit into the 1970s. I would argue that they didn't find a unique and ownable identity in "music's popular mind" until their albums produced in the early 1980s

Rolling Stones, on the other hand, are one of the few examples of both the chicken and the egg of musical influence. They have a completely open conversation with pop culture, and in their evolution, they dictate as often as they react.

In other words, they rock the party, no matter what party. The same unfortunately can not be said for Hall and Oates.

I also got yelled at to get down in front while grooving with my main man Goody.

Wrap your mind around this exchange between two male concertgoers on their way out of the show:

Dude 1: Wow, John had some great licks!

Dude 2: ...Yeah, I'd really like to lick Darryl, though!

Ciaran Rogers

Hold on a sec. Goody et all were at the concert?

Jackson

David Berkowitz claimed that Hall & Oates' "Rich Girl" motivated him to kill.

Hello ! This is very good site !!

Re: Son Of Sam

Yes, he did. And Hall and Oates then wrote a song about a guy who murders everytime he hears doo wop music. ("Ditty Doo Wop (I Hear The Voices)" on the VOICES album 1980.)
