There's a Sunshine Underground showcase on Lamacq Live this afternoon starting at 4:00 (NY time) These guys sound pretty great from the songs I've heard. Another catchy English band that (I believe) is coming to the states for SXSW and hopefully will get to NYC shortly after. Definitely worth tuning in this afternoon. Have a listen at their Myspace Page. Commercial Breakdown and Put You in Your Place are the hits.
Also, Billboard confirms what Karen rumored last month that Tom Vek is gonna be at the Bait shop in time for February sweeps. Only English bands with limited US touring experience play the club this year. Lucky kids.
The sunshine underground session was alright but didn't make me want to rush out and find their stuff, commercial breakdown is a good track but I haven't heard any other good stuff by them. This is a case of wait and see then jump on the bandwagon as is gets rolling for me!

I agree, it was nothing special, but I still think those two songs (CB and Put you in Your Place) are great. We'll see where this goes.
