Super busy today, but I wanna point out that English Spaz-Rock band Test-Icicles will be in town next week. They're playing the Cake Shop on 11/9 and opening for Art Brut at Northsix on 11/11. Their album is a mixed bag, IMO, but the current single, Circle Square Triangle, is simply unbelievable. Think Blood Brothers meet Bloc Party. Everyone who saw them at CMJ said they were completely insane live. They're getting serious radio-play in the UK as well. Tough to get too big with a name like that, but they seem to have gotten a lot of people's attention already.
is it december already?? i agree on the test icicles front.--cuurious to see them live... by the way, i loved last night's knit show, thought actually 2 opening bands were better than the headliner!! but then again I find mr. darnielle to be hit or miss. I guess I have to be in the mood for him.

Their remixes of that song on Myspace are dope. Definitely brings out the Bloc Party-ness, not to mention they even look like them.

Yeah... December? I noticed that when I went to the Hype Machine. You'll be at the top for the next month!

Can confirm they are awsome live, and a bunch of spazzers.
