I've hated this place forever. It's amateur and not very good. Our food took a million years last time we went. And when we were waiting at the bar the bartender refused to look up. He kept walking back and forth looking at the floor. I finally had to call to him to get his attention.

I can't believe this has been on the frequented brunch list as long as it has. I hope this experience has, indeed, earned Essex a strikethrough.

do people in the neighborhood really go there anyway!?

i lived 50 feet from the place for 5 years and went there about twice. the food and the service are both horrendous. why bother? i've really never understood the draw.

Ohhh I dunno. I know the service stinks. But I really like Essex. Good food and big fan of anywhere with the bottomless mimosas.
