ha, nice post. I am in the middle of training for my first marathon and i learned very quickly that Elliott smith was more effective than daft punk. otherwise i would always blow out my pace and make it about half of my intended distance. good luck

i love this post. and i love making workout mixes. personally i NEED the fast-paced songs. hello avril. hello rihanna. what's up bikini kill? what do you think of these dumb bitches? heh. i'm plopping a couple of these songs into the playlist i'm making right now -- we'll see how they work! also, may i suggest the rocky balboa soundtrack, which i recently scored at work and which is good for a few cheesy songs. but i don't keep up on my emo shite: you should totally do an indie music workout podcast or something.

explosions in the sky is great for running. particularly, earth is not a cold dead place. from start to finish.
