Is Albert Hammond worth checking out at Maxwells?

I would have gone to Merc the other night if I wasn't so worn down and they were accepting badges. There were a lot of bands there I wanted to see that night. Al Hammond one of them. He's playing Maxwells next weekend, and I'm interested in seeing what this is like. Surely he'll play a proper show at Bowery or something not too long from now, right?

Tickets are on sale now. Laura went on friday and made it seem like a good time.
