I'm telling you...it's one of those weeks. Bloc Party is going on tour with Panic! at the Disco. I've got nothing against Panic, really. They put on a real SHOW, from what I hear, despite sounding like A Fall Out Boy/Backstreet Boys mashup. I really dig that they tour with bands I genuinely love like BP and The Dresden Dolls too.
Anyway...Arenas. Massive venues. A long way from the Knitting Factory and Rothko. My, how the kids have grown...
They're playing the Theater @ MSG on 11/13-14. Honestly, I think I'd rather see this show in the arena than in that shitty theater. They should make the Knicks play in there.
hmm, i don't know what to think of this. i just saw bloc party at the greek and Kele Okereke kept mentioning that the Greek was the biggest venue they'd ever played. They even had us do a crowd wave with the lights flashed back on us so they could see the full size of the crowd. I guess after this tour, the greek will seem like nothin'.
