You know there are those songs where you walk into a bar...or rather, you're already in a bar, and the song comes on, and you instantly react and jump around without actually thinking or realizing what the song is or if you actually like it or whatever? Well this post is dedicated to that. It's the summer. Dance parties are a-plenty. I don't tend to move a whole lot at these things, but when one of these songs comes on, I automatically bounce around for a verse or two, and, depending on my alcohol/energy drink intake, often shout the chorus at the top of my lungs.
Justice vs. Simian - Never Be Alone (mp3)
NME called it "One of the best songs ever!" It says so right on Justice's myspace page.
It really is pretty great tho, even if it's a little played at this point...
The Killers - When You Were Young (mp3)
Springsteen, blah blah. Best album in 20 years, blah blah. Is there anyone who didn't already have their mind made up about this upcoming album 6 months ago? Either you're 13-22 and are gonna buy and love it no matter what, or you're a jaded hypocritical turncoat sourpuss who can't admit that 'Somebody Told Me' is the single greatest single of the blogger era. This one's not particularly groundbreaking, but its a pretty good jam once you scrape all the preconceived notions off of it.

Everyone can talk all the shit about Bro Flo aping Springsteen, but when Dan Keyes modernizes Cindi Lauper's 'She Bop,' it's a surefire guaranteed summer hit? Whatever, fun song anyway. Oddly, I can't find an mp3 of this thing anywhere.
T.I. - What You Know (mp3)
I just remember being at a house party in Fort Greene on a really random night and this song came on and it was like everybody in the room's knees gave out for a second before the place just blew up.
