First off, The Riverboat Gamblers at CBGBs last night were a total trip. I've got a review up on Gothamist now. As I mention, I left my camera battery at home and, alas, didn't take any pictures. Total bummer, since these guys were all over the place. BV picks up the slack with some excellent shots, however.
Second, I noticed they've posted some video clips from Coachella. No Daft Punk, but a bunch of other good ones. Unfortunately, I've run into a bit of a problem with my new Macbook. I can't play embedded Windows Media Video clips. I've downloaded the lousy WMP app, but it doesn't fit in. Seeing that these movies, as well as tons of others across the web use this format, it's become a bit of an issue already. Anyone have a good fix for this? Do Mac users just passively accept the fact they can't watch a strong chunk of the media on the web? That seems completely absurd. There must be an explanation for this, right?
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I use this app sometimes to play WMV files using quicktime.. Works pretty well:

Yea, I looked into that, but right now flip4mac doesn't run on the new Intel Macs. Hopefully soon, tho.

Huh. I just clicked over and the Bloc Party clip started playing for me right away.
I'm on a PowerBook though, not a Macbook, and using Firefox. I have WMP version 9.0 for OS X installed, as well.

Just got a MacBook and ran into this also. Flip4Mac has said they're updating for Intel soon. But in the meantime, I've read that you can install Flip4Mac and force Quicktime to run as a PowerPC application and then Windows Media clips will play. Haven't tried it but I suppose it should work.
Maybe this will help:
