I got a myspace request from a band Think About Life last night. I was SO hoping it'd be some kickass emo band. They're not.
They really are pretty cool tho. Have a lot going on in these songs. Think The Joggers meets Double Dragon II era Nintendo meets a lo-fi Wolf Parade (who they toured with not too long ago. Am really sorry I didn't know about them then). Check out that song 'Serious Chords' on their myspace page...How amazing is the Mike Tyson's Punch-Out interlude breakdown?? The first song up there got my attention. That second one had me sold. They're opening for Art Brut at those Knitting Factory shows coming up in May. I wanna see them. I'm gonna go.

GvB likes them too. He's got another song off the album up as well.
yo yo...i saw these dudes open for wolf parade last October...i think their lead singer couldnt make the shows or something like that...they have this fat dude in the band that dances around, he's the daddy.

When they opened for wolf parade their gear had been recently stolen, so they were playing with makeshift stuff and their lead singer couldnt get off work(i guess he didnt even try since they had no gear) so they had their friend who knew the songs sing them. They sounded good despite the problems and i've never been so entertained by a fat guy dancing around like a fool and mumbling into a microphone.
