I happened to be listening to KEXP when they announced the lineups for the NYC in-studios are up. You can sign up here.
All in all, I've got mixed feelings about this stint. I like to see some good local bands (Diggs, Mugs, Teenage Prayers and others) get some major national airplay. On the other hand, these things usually rule because you get to see big bands play little rooms. So far, the biggest bands (Ambulance LTD...who should be forced to change their name to Ambulance 2003...and French Kicks) I have no interest in. I've never even heard of half the rest. Too bad.
There will be some more additions, too. Ghostland is gonna squeeze in on Tuesday I think, and there are still some TBA spots. We'll see who else shows up. As for now, I'm not planning any days off just yet.
One semi-unrelated note...Would it be too much to ask to have Stars of Track and Field and Dylan in the Movies tour together? The "If You're Feeling Sinister" tour, sponsored by Dreams of Horses. Lets make it happen.
Belle & Sebastian is, obviously, the new Horse. (which, if you've lived under a blog rock for the last 6 months, was the new Wolf.)
You've never heard of Bill Janovitz? Heavens...
Go find a copy of Buffalo Tom's "Let Me Come Over." A fantastic album.

Bur Pablo? The Budos Band? The aformentioned Dylan in the Movies? All over my head. And I listen to KEXP a good ammount too.

Exactly. I actually got the album "Big Red Letter Day" after that episode. I didnt know the guy's name though. You mean it's not Tom?

The schedule is full now. We Are Scientists were added to Wednesday. Signed up for all the Wednesday shows. I have been meaning to catch Summer Lawns for a long time now, and French Kicks should be fun.
