A couple demos/tracks just leaked off the 15-years-in-the-making Chinese Democracy album. Be nice...if the public doesn't like em, Axl's gonna prolly bury the whole thing again for another decade.
My initial reaction? Not bad...not bad at all, all things considered. Out of the two, I like i.r.s. better.
Actually the IRS song was leaked last year under the name Oh My God... Here is a link discussing it from early last year... same song, different name....

Mmm, the whole world just got a little brighter. :)
I was preparing myself for the worst, but this really isn't bad!! The tracks are growing on me. And of course the quality sucks; these are demos. They're leaks, for God's sake! Be thankful that we at least get a whiff of something... Finally.

I.R.S, Better and T.W.A.T are great tracks, I can see this really shaking up the music industry, something needs to!

i still like the music but it'll never sound the way it used to. irs is in NO WAY shape or form comparable to the classic stuff from the 80's. i choose to remember them like they were

Just heard that GNR management took off the links and don't want anyone to give them out so don't email me about "Better". I guess I had BETTER just wait instead until Axl releases it ( O : !!!

The Blues is an old song. played live since 2001. (with madagascar, chinese democracy, rhiad and the beduins ...)
IRS has been 1st leaked in 2004.
The only real new leaks lately are:
- Catcher in The Rye
- There Was a Time
and for all the axl haters .... nah, nothing. ;)

Gotta say it took me 3 or 4 times to come around on I.R.S. but I'm totally into it now. It's got a good chorus, decent hook, solid instrumentation. Thought the vocals need a volume increase, but the studio production should be able to fix that, overall 8 out of 10 to irs.
Blues I heard once and could barely recognize any of the vocals, there were some strong melodic moments and a couple of good guitar riffs, but overall I can't see it catching on. I'm gonna give it a couple of more listens but not that great overall...yet.
Also I'm in agreement that this is Axl's solo project.

I'm not a huge GNR fan, but I really like these tracks (Blues/TWAT/IRS). If they are indicitive of the rest of the album, Chinese Democracy could change the direct of music in the UK. This album will outsell Vel Revolver 10 to 1. COuld well be the biggest album this year. Too good to be over looked by fashion.

I really like IRS!

IRS is by far the better of the two tracks though it obviously needs some polish before it's released.

IRS is great, addictive, reminds me of the good old times... The Blues sounds great as well, but IRS is my favourite. Great lyrics. "Could've been waiting off here and on
Like a broken record for so long"
Still the same Axl playing with words...
