I've seen Wu-Tang once before. Two summers ago I went to the Oxegen Festival in Ireland and they played. It was a fun, if not particularly memorable set. Sort of a stripped down gang, which took a lot out of it. The best was when these roadies came out to finish setting up the stage, the crowd just started going bonkers cheering. I guess they figured if a bunch of black dudes are coming out on stage, it must be Wu-Tang. Ha. Silly Irish. Next best was some girl near me was wearing a red Yankee cap and one of the aforementioned roadies asked her to give it to him. After some hesitation she agreed. It came back 10 minutes later with CHEF scrawled across the brim in thick black marker. She didn't seem too thrilled. Prolly hadn't a clue what was going on.
Tonight should be a blast. Hopefully the whole crew makes it out. I've never been to New Haven before, either. Whats the deal with the Pizza? What's Toad's Place like?

Checked out Toad's once for a Modest Mouse show 5 years ago (yikes, I'm old). Imagine the Northsix, but like 5 or 6 times bigger.

I've never been there, but supposedly Pepe's is the place to go for pizza in New Haven. From what I hear, there's usually a wait, though, so be prepared, though you might get lucky.

Toad's is a weird place. if the show is all ages than they will have a big fence down the middle of the floor that seperates 21 and over from under 21.

Toad's is a great venue, especially to see Wu-Tang. It's pretty small, kinda like the CBGB of New Haven. And I don't know about Pepe's, but there is a fantastic gourmet pizza place around the corner from the venue called A-1 Pizza, I believe on Broadway.
