What reality?

So...while Laguna Beach had been a lovely distraction from the mind-numbing World Series, the real deal returns tonight.  I'll be honest with you, after a month of nothing but LB (with this week's episode being far and away the "realest" and most hilarious so far) I'm having a hard time remembering what's actually going on in Newport.

Just one quick note on Laguna tho. The character development of Jessica in this show is nothing short of brilliant.  At the beginning of the season, she was the cute, sympathetic character who was getting shit on by her boyfriend. I liked her. Everyone felt bad for her. Now, only a few months later, she's being portrayed as this loony home-wrecker, madly obsessed with Jason, flat out lying about kissing him to anyone who asks. There's no way to tell what's actually real and what is a result from MTV's creative editing, but either way they've successfully portrayed a complete character transformation. Something the OC had a pretty tough time with (See Luke from season one. It always felt off with him.) So...well done MTV. You've made it easy to forget that she's actually a real person  (Props, Pink)

But back to the OC. Honestly, I can't remember the last thing that happened to the gang.  It'll come back to me I'm sure.
