I thought these were bad, but a $15 dollar surcharge on a $25.00 ticket?!?!?!? You gotta be fucking kidding me. I'm going to Irving Plaza after work. If it's sold out by then, I guess I'll just miss out.
| Tickets (Death Cab for Cutie with Stars, Youth Group) | |
| FULL PRICE TICKET | US $25.50 x 1 |
| Total Building Facility Charge(s) | US $2.00 x 1 |
| Total Convenience Charge(s) | US $7.95 x 1 |
| Order Processing Charge(s) | US $4.35 |
| Standard Mail | No Charge |
| TOTAL CHARGES | US $39.80 |
just a heads up Jeff... Irving Plaza won't sell tickets to the show until tomorrow. I highly doubt it will sell out by then though.

EXACTLY! I just bought 2 Stellastarr* tix at Irving Plaza last night (where, I might add, you are allowed to pay with a credit card, at least AmEx). Anyway, total cost for 2 tix in-person: $35 (no fees!). Total cost if I had used TM.com: $51.05. 'Nuff said.
Sounds like you would really be getting reamed on those DC4C tix. Definitely worth a trip to the ol' box office. Good call.

Maybe title this piece "Ticketmaster reaches a new high"?

Good lord. Any bets on what those Across the Narrows fees are going to be like?
TM is also "auctioning off" NIN MSG tix for charity. Watch them tack on service charges for that puppy.
