Slow Friday

Friday is notoriously a slow day on the Internet...Bloggers pick up the slack.

Scott does all the work finding an excellent assortment of free MP3's so you don't have to.

UPDATE: Molly posts a few more excellent, tho not particularly legal MP3's up on her blog.  The new Calixico and Iron and Wine track is the main draw here.  Very very good.

Joey has more don'ts.  Some say the only reason to wake up, go to work, and log onto the internet on Fridays.  This whole thing was totally my idea, by the way.  We were supposed to do it together.  Someday he'll acknowledge this...

Lindsay's friend bumps into John Darnielle in a kayak in the Outer Banks.  Still can't beat the CLASSIC Biggest Douche I've Ever Met story, I'm afraid.  30 Seconds to Mars is opening for The Used at Hammerstein Ballroom, by the way, on August 30th.  I'm sure the selection was purely based on musical merit.  Actually, didn't The Used get famous cause their guy was dating Kelly Osbourne during the first season of her reality show?  I guess the openers at these big shows don't fall too far from the tree these days.  Meanwhile, The genius Mountain Goats will be playing the cavernous Bowery Ballroom for his next show.  Funny how this stuff works, isnit?

Nora finally gets around to posting her pics from Lollapalooza on flickr.  Go look!  It was super hot!  Figuratively and literally!

Dave breaks down the Antony show last night in exquisite detail.  I'm pretty sure he called it the best show ever?  I dunno about that...

Finally...and you're gonna have to take my word for it cause I don't have a link or anything, but AM New York reported the other day that Billy Corgan was recently seen having lunch in the city with Wretzky and Iha.  Developing....
