Saw Antony and the Johnsons last night at Town Hall. The music was good. Very sensitive and heartbreaking and all that. Unfortunately my third row seats, which needless to say I was excited about, were to the far right of the stage, and Antony was sitting behind a piano to the far left. So I couldn't really see him, which blew. But the music was nice, and Town Hall is a great venue, so I had a good time.
I did enjoy openers CocoRosie a lot. Everyone I know who has seen them either loves or hates them, and well beyond the gimmicks, I thought they were wonderful. Had I previously not been so skeptical, I would have tried to go see them at Joe's Pub the night before. Oh well.
I was there too and David Blaine was sitting a couple rows in front of me...pretty hilarious.

I had the same seating arrangement once when I saw Rufus Wainwright. Such a good view...of the piano. I love CocoRosie, wish I could've seen them.
