Mercury Secrecy

Two more curious headliners are appearing at Mercury Lounge next month.

First, one week following Bridget Jones Diarrhea are playing a set with DJ Sammy Jo for $15, another unknown band called Megapussi will be playing with them as well.  Same cost, same day of the week.  Jay Goodtimes hinted at how this could become a residency, so it's a safe bet that this is the same band.  I'm assuming that this will be the Scissor Sisters.  Buy tickets here.  (Thanks Peter for the tip!)

Also, on July 16th, the night of SirenFest, a band called Ta Det Lugnt will be playing Mercury Lounge.  Ta Det Lugnt is the name of Dungen's critically acclaimed album from last year.  Dungen will be in town playing SirenFest earlier in the day.  I think it's safe to say Dungen will be playing Mercury Lounge that night.  Buy tickets here. One more non-secretive Merc note.  Keep an ear open on Hard-Fi, who are playing July 19th.  Been hearing lots of rumbles about them recently...

Hard-Fi are pretty good. "Hard to Beat" is one of my favorite songs of the year.
