I have nothing to talk about...
I could rave about how amazing the opening track to the Magic Numbers album is. How it's this epic track that seems to span 6 decades of influence in 5 and a half minutes. It's called Morning's Eleven, and it's gotten me from my apartment to the subway the last two mornings in a good an atypically good mood. Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to upload the MP3 for y'all to download before I left for work so I cant post it...but it's worth seeking out on you're own this afternoon and checking it out.
I could also talk about the Editors album I got yesterday, but I haven't given it much of a chance yet. There are two outstanding tracks (Blood and Munich), but nothing else has jumped out at me yet on a quick first listen. I need to give it more time.
I could also mention The Duke Spirit, who I was surprised to see had recently gotten the endorsements of both Ultragrrrl and the One Louder boys. Thing is I haven't actually heard these guys yet, so I'm a bit out of the loop. It's jumped to the top of my list of stuff to get tho, so hopefully soon.
So...I guess I could listen to Editors some more this afternoon, download the Duke Spirit when I get home, and upload that Magic Numbers song later. Then maybe I'll update this shell of a half-assed post with some worthwhile content.
Stay tuned...
editors has 9 outstanding tracks

the departure? you think? their album hasn't done much for me at all.. it seemed to me they had the formula right but kept plugging in the wrong numbers.. none of the tracks stayed with me... however hard-fi.. they could be a different story.. i need to hear more of their stuff.
