The Album of the Summer?

Prolly too early to tell, but it already seems as if there is quite a bit of blog buzz surrounding this new Tom Vek album.  Karen appears to love it. Audrey predicts that "I Ain't Saying my Goodbyes" may be the next Banquet.  Stereogum is rocking it on his iPod.

Me?  I think it's phenomenal.  I've only had the album for a couple days, but "...Goodbyes" is already pushing double digits on my play count.  I know the Phones remix is on the 12" only, but if anybody has an MP3, I'd love to hear it.  No word on an US release or any Stateside tour-dates as far as I can tell, but surely in time.  This guy has a set at the Tribeca Grand written all over him.

Yes! I love Tom Vek! 'I Ain't Saying My Goodbyes' is such a great song, it's much better than 'Banquet' (which I still don't understand how it could have gotten big).
