Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm looking forward to checking all these places out...
Isle
Pongsri
Klong
Montien
Cafe Asian
Kobma Thai
Sea
Thailand Restaurant
Gobo
Galanga
And from today's SLNY, which had a short list of hot new Thai spots (the new bok)
breeze
prem-on
tiny thai
ho wong city
I also have to make it back to Sripraphai one of these days...
I like Gobo a lot, but it is really more asian-vegetarian food. I would recommend it, but if you are looking for thai, you'll be disappointed.

Sripraphai is the only real Thai restaurant in NYC(fried watercress salad, pork leg stew, etc). Pam Real and Wondee, in Hell's Kitchen, are passable.
Criticize LA all you want, but there are literally 20-30 places here that trump everything in NY but Srip...and dont even get me started on Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas..where I will be feasting this saturday.
