So, honestly...The Bravery put on a perfectly fine show last night. I got unexpectedly wasted off cheap white wine, making it much easier to look past the pomp and shtick, but I was prepared to go into this and be totally embarrassed for them. That was simply not the case. A surprisingly fun time. I do, however, think the bass player should die a painful, beer spewing, shirtless death. He's the worst ever.
Anyway, enough about those guys. I'm sick of talking about them. I'm going to a bunch of stuff before heading out to LA for Coachella next week.
Tonight I'm seeing Erasure with Elkland at Irving. I've heard great things about both bands on this tour, and am excited to check it out. I'm especially happy to hear people talk up Elkland's set, who have been very inconsistent the few times I've gone out to see them.
Tomorrow I would love to somehow get into Webster Hall to see Buck 65, but I have less than any interest in seeing Moby, and the $35 sold out ticket is nowhere close to being worth it. Prolly just stay home. Or maybe go out and enjoy the nice weather or something.
Thursday I'm gonna go check out this band Called COMA at Mercury Lounge. (not to be confused with THE Comas) I only know a couple songs of theirs, but I really really like what I've heard. I have a song over on the sidebar which I think is great. Check it out below:
If I go to any show on Friday, it'd be to see Ivy at Bowery. Prolly pass tho. Saturday is Out Hud and Sunday is The Shins. Looking forward to both.
Next Monday, Calla is playing a free show at the Knitting Factory with The Cloud Room. If you're interested in going, be sure to RSVP to rsvp@giganticmusic.com.
That's it for now. I have a really awful headache.
How were the ladies there? Very curious - sold my pair and decided not to go.....

Overall, mainly unspectacular. No different than any other show at bowery. The whole crowd, in fact, seemed pretty standard.

jeff, i'd have to agree, there were a lot fewer pretty girls in attendance last night, but i still stand by my sunday claim.
and yes, why don't we sniff out that fucking bass player and give him an old fashion ass woopin.
