Remember when Sam Endicott used to write the mailing list e-mails himself? Here are a couple snippets of what they were like back then:
From an e-mail on 7/15/04:
Yeah, you heard me. This Wednesday The Bravery rokks
Bowery F 'n Ballroom, supporting renowned indie
rockers Elefant.
and on 7/28/04:
...Also, check out what the UK's "NME" (New Musical
Express) wrote about us this week:
"America's answer to Franz Ferdinand, and the band
everyone's talking about in New York."who knew?
Aw. How sweet. You were so excited about getting a mention in NME! And how about playing Bowery Ballroom for the first time?? That was like your big break!
Now, flash forward to an e-mail today (4/15/05):
On Saturday, May 28 The Bravery will play 3 shows in 3 different cities in the UK. They'll start at the Homelands Festival in Winchester. Then they will be whisked away in a Helicopter to Birmingham to do a quick set in front of 36,000 people for Duran Duran's home show at the City Football Club Stadium. The chopper will then fly the boys back to London to start their 3 night sold out headlining run at the Astoria.
Goddamn. Too bad you can't buy stock in boy bands indie pop-punk bands.

I was looking at the new Entertainment Weekly and they have a small pic of him back when he had dreadlocks. too funny. that guy is such a tool!

I guess you silly hipsters can't take a band with a great image. Too bad. It's what i call jealously.
I even heard somebody passed fliers around the east village criticizing the bravery? That's just sheer pathetic. Sad person(s) you must be.
