So Annie was at the Tribeca Grand last night, doing her first live performance in the US. It was dull. She's cute, and some of her songs are catchy, (2 to be exact...Heartbeat and The Greatest Hit), but I was bored. After a song and a half, I left to go sit in the lobby and listen from afar. I'm curious to see if anybody was really impressed by her set. The crowd sounded like they enjoyed themselves, but I mean...come on. Really?
So why did I pass up a guaranteed good show in Asobi Seksu to go to the this thing? Cause I'm a sucker for hype, that's why. Plain and simple. No excuses. I'd like to say I'll know better next time, but I doubt that's true.
Related...Weren't The Killers @ Summerstage tickets supposed to go on sale today? What happened to that?
When I get home, I'll update this post with MP3s of the two Annie songs I actually like. Just like yesterday. You can also stream her album here.
UPDATE: As promised...

your honesty is refreshing. i can't really buy into this pop sensation, and hearing this come from you was a breath of fresh tequila

I wasn't sold on her initally, but I really like the performance last night. it was a good time. at point she seemed to lack confidence, but as the set went on she won me over. plus, she's a hottie, and not just cause she's attractive looking, in persona as well. i'd much rather get drunk and bop around to her (or bop her...) than listen to some band like bloc party, who for me are not fun and yet not really intense either, say "this is a song about being bored" and then act like it.

I'm glad others felt the same way about the show as me. The hype grew too fast around her. She just has to catch back up. Did anyone go to MisShapes to see her DJ?

Hello,
Repairing your credit score is not brain surgery but you do need to adhere to some basics in order to accomplish your goal of a higher credit score.
Now, a borrower can access infinite number of lenders at one time without even moving from one place to another.
No! Is it the end of the world if the account has already charged off?
